About Germania Place
Historical Opulence
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by an architectural icon, crafted from red brick and carved limestone. The interior features two cavernous ballrooms, the Grand and Royal Ballrooms, each boasting a lavish Victorian architecture with vast thirty-five foot ceilings, hardwood floors, mahogany bars, immense inset gilded domes, original crystal chandeliers and fully draped twenty foot arched windows. Adorning the entrance to the Grand Ballroom is the world’s largest and most elaborate non-religious stained glass portrait. Originally crafted in Heidelberg, Germany, this breathtaking masterpiece was first exhibited at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Overlooking the Grand Ballroom is an awe-inspiring balcony, providing enough space to serve cocktails for 150 guests. The Ballrooms are adjoining and can be combined through a set of double doors, with the combined capacity of 1300 for a reception style event. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests for dinner, while the Royal Ballroom can seat an additional 230.
