How do I get to Germania Place?

We are located at 108 W. Germania Place, just south of the intersection of Clark St. and North Ave., in Chicago's Gold Coast.

From Lake Shore Drive, exit at North Ave., go west to Clark St., turn left (south) on Clark and proceed 1/2 block to Germania Place. Turn right and the facility will be on your right.

From Rt. 90/94, exit at North Avenue and head east to the intersection of Clark St. (past LaSalle). Turn right (south) onto Clark and proceed 1/2 block to Germania Place. Turn right and the facility will be on your right.

If you are taking CTA, you can take the Clark St. bus and get off at the North Ave. stop, which is right across the street from Germania Place.

Is Germania Place handicapped accessible?

Yes. Our facilities are fully wheelchair accessible.

Are the ballrooms fully air conditioned?

Yes. New air conditioners were added as part of the 1994 restoration.

Are religious ceremonies permitted at Germania Place?

Yes. Our facility is privately owned and welcomes both civil and religious ceremonies.

Is valet parking available?

Yes. Valet parking for events is available through separate contract.

How many people do the ballrooms hold?

Without a dance floor, the Grand Ballroom holds up to 400 people for dinner, the Royal Ballroom holds 230. Remove the dinner tables, and there is room for 1,000 people for a cocktail reception. The balcony overlooking the Grand Ballroom holds an additional 175 people for cocktails.
